CCNW is pleased to partner with Northwell Health to support their Northwell Community Scholars Program. This program helps students from under-resourced families gain mentorship, career exploration, academic guidance, college prep, tuition support and wraparound services to help them to attain their high school diploma and to attend a local community college for an Associates Degree or certificate program. Eligible students apply during their first year of high school, and once accepted, remain working with the group throughout high school and may continue for the first two years at college. |

The Community Center's first cohort of 15 students started in the fall of 2025 and we are looking forward to welcoming the second group in June of 2026. Northwell believes that when they support education, they support public health, life expectancy and employment prospects. It is their belief that every student should be able to achieve their educational and career goals without feeling defeated by financial insecurity. To learn more about the program, watch this video or visit their website. CCNW is grateful to NY Community Trust for their generous grant to support our partnership in this work. |
