Financial inequalities in society are associated with a significantly increased risk of poor health.
The Community Center of Northern Westchester aims to enhance the physical and mental well-being of our community by providing access to healthful foods, offering free health screenings and nutritional education, and making available a range of wellness resources.
In 2025:
- Free of charge flu shots and health screenings given by NWH Community Health Team for over 350 individuals
- 1,500 individuals received case management and referrals to additional resources
- Access to free eye exams and eyeglasses in partnership with LensCrafters
- 28 people received donated bicycles from Bicycle World
- Family hiking programs with Lewisboro Land Trust
- 66 children attended sleep-away summer camps
