organize a clothing drive

Help us keep the Community Center's boutique racks full for neighbors in need.

Our clothing boutique provides families with free, seasonal clothing—from everyday essentials to outfits for job interviews, school events, and changing weather. For parents of growing children or individuals starting fresh, access to quality clothing can ease the financial burden and restore confidence.

You can make a direct impact by organizing a clothing drive with your workplace, school, community group, or place of worship. Every item collected helps someone feel seen, supported, and better equipped for life’s next step.

How You Can Run A Clothing Drive:

  • Organize a clothing drive in your neighborhood, at your school or organization. Contact your neighbors and tell them that you are collecting clothing for the Community Center of Northern Westchester. If they wish to participate, give them the flyer containing the clothing items we accept, and specific information about how to drop their donations.
  • Create a Virtual Clothing Drive by sending emails or texts, or using a social media platform to spread the word about your drive.Share the list of clothing items we accept and ask your friends and neighbors to clean out their closets and donate unwanted but good quality items that are on our list!

Once you’ve collected all the clothing items, call us at 914-232-6572, ext. 105, and speak to our Director of Operations to arrange a convenient time to bring the clothing to the Center.

Have your own ideas?  Share them with us.  Or contact us if you’d like to talk more about an idea you have in mind.  Check out some of the clothing drives folks have organized, on our Facebook page.  We’d love to see you or your group on our Facebook page someday, too!
